EuroGates & Doors - first impressions count.......

During an extended trip to France and Italy, we were overawed by the extensive use of hand wrought iron everywhere. We took hundreds of photos - of doors in Paris, balconies and window boxes in Venice, gates in Umbria and Tuscany. San Gimignano is renowned for it's towers and nearby castles. We filmed them all!!!

Once home in New Zealand, we searched for our ideal gates with no success. Eventually we sourced them from a US run Company - one of the few still manufacturing hand wrought iron products using French and Italian inspired designs. The quality of their workmanship is unbelievable. As well as an extensive range of over 100 gates, they produce hand wrought iron fencing and stairwell railings. Doors are currently their biggest seller, with an extensive range of over 80 tropical wood and wrought iron entry doors. These are doors that are very unique and would make a special entrance. The quality of these products is unequalled anywhere.

The methods used to build the wrought iron are very traditional - heating the iron and then bending, shaping and twisting with tongs until the desired effect is achieved. Each iron gate or door is it's own unique creation. Prefabricated steel is not used. Most of the iron that is worked with is recycled or salvaged iron from old bridges and rail roads. It is low in carbon iron, which is much more resistant to rusting and far more durable.

The iron work is primed with zinc phosphate primer and sprayed with an oil based matt or gloss finish. Most choices of finished colour and shade are available.

Our gates have transformed our property. We hope to help you do the same.
